With the iPod still riding the wave of success and leaving its competition in the dust, some analysts predict that portable video players built around the same concept are set to become the next big thing. Devices like the Sony PSP and the Zen PMC from Creative already capturing the hearts of early adopters worldwide.
Prices are still high and until recently, i’ve been hauling a dvd wallet around to entertain myself for long trips on bad airlines. Now however, I have discovered (late to the game, I’m sure) the joy of converting dvd into ‘usable’ files and keep a collection on an external portable hard disk. I copy the movies I want to watch across to my powerbook and I’m good to go.
