Printing on a Windows Network

PrinterWhen trying to configure my Mac to connect to a printer shared on a Windows network I came up against a few problems. I had previously got this working, but it seems that since upgrading to Tiger (I’m now on 10.4.3), it no longer works.

To handle seamless windows connectivity, as part of OS X Apple introduced Samba, the open source windows file and printer sharing software often deployed within Linux environments. As I Googled, to resolve my own issue, it seems that many people have had the same problem.

Entourage & Exchange Set-up

Entourage If like me, you have to connect to an exchange server to receive your work email, there is only one real choice for email client: Entourage.

While using Microsoft software on a Mac feels like a contradiction, there are some features that are included in Entourage that allow a better, seamless way to connect to exchange when in the office and when working remotely.
